eCSM Demonstrator cut model — Trench Cutter head prepared to show the electric drive train - prior to shipment to Munich

Not yet the deep sea - but a glimpse into the future of trench cutting technology. While DSS1 drawed concepts for fully submerged electric trench cutting, a first demonstrator of an electric cutter head will be shown on this years Bauma, April 7th - 13th, in Munich at the Bauer Pavillon. The full electric eCSM (electric Cutter Soil Mixing) was one of the finalist in this years Bauma Innovation Award for Climate Protection Technologies.

Time's ticking until Bauma 2025 opens the gates to the wider public on Monday, April 7th. Inside Bauer City - and among many other exiting exhibits - the eCSM (electric Cutter Soil Mixing) cutter head is show: opened up to give a glimpse on it's internal electric drive, a worn after hours of field tests to show the ability and amazing parameters of the new electrified gear: 2 x 150 kW of power, 50 kNm of torque, higher speeds and an elevated rate of overall system efficiency of about 85%. It's a great step towards a sustainable construction technology, and a first dive into water - not to the depths of the deep sea, but 20 meters into the mud of a trench.
