UMC Rotterdam

The 2023 Underwater Minerals Conference took place in Rotterdam. The global gathering from participants around the globe gave highlights on the current state of underwater mining, political issues and latest trends in technology.

Deep Sea Sampling was presented during the 2023 UMC at two occasions: with a conference presentation about the current project status by Matthias Semel and Stefan Wegerer (Bauer Maschinen GmbH) in the main session, and a poster presentation by Alexander Mölle (TU Bergakademie Freiberg) about the actual state of IMU (intertial measurement unit) for underwater position monitoring.
